I bought some goods online and paid using paypal. I have returned the items and after 14 days had not received a refund. Due to not receiving the refund I raised a dispute through paypal. Seller says if I close the dispute they will refund me. When I went to close the dispute there is a message from paypal telling me not to close the dispute until the refund is received. I've been back to the seller and told them this but they have told me that if they instigate the refund through paypal they can't credit me for the correct amount. Is this correct? How will they be able to refund me at all? They state they are not in the habit of stealing money from customers (have I offended them?). So should I close the dispute and await their refund or insist they do it through paypal? I don't want to be obstinate but also I want to make sure I get my money back. Thanks Helen
