Back in March I had purchased a pair of sneakers off of Ebay. I wore these sneakers once and put them away in my closet along with my other 45/50 pairs. Last month I decided to take this pair of sneakers along with about 6/7 others toa sneaker convention in Boston to sell them. While at the convention, I was informed by 3 different people that the sneakers were fake. That same day I opened a dispute with PayPal. Not even a week later, the claim was closed in the sellers favor because PayPal said I did not provide the right type of proof and information. (I was never told what type of proof I needed). So, I called and they explained that I could open an appeal and said I would need something from a third party (store or other reliable source for information on sneakers). So I immediately contacted a well known sneaker consignment shop in California and sent the sneakers to them to be evaluated. I sent PayPal all of the emails that transpired between myself and the consignment store. This aparently wasnt good enough. Now they wanted something on letter head with name, address and phone number of the establishment. So I sent the sneakers out to yet another company who provided me with what PayPal was requiring. Now heres my question.... why would PayPal not outline from the beginning what exactly was required for me to prove my case instead of leaving me in the dark trying to guess what would be adequate proof? It has cost me over $40 shipping these shoes back and forth to these companies to obtain what PayPal requires as proof. And here I am a week later and still no resolution? How long is this process going to take? They have the proff that they have asked for, where is my refund that I am asking for?? Im beyond frustrated at this point!
