I have had an item up on a local selling site (similar to ebay but for locals) and was offered the price for my items (2 tickets for a show) through various emails I was asked to send a paypal request as this was the only way they could pay due to 'nature of work'. I was hesitent but decided to send the request. Then I recieved an email saying that they were paying an extra £400 and a 'bit extra' for a 'mover and a car' that they had just bought. I then decided to withdraw the request and emailed them to say I was not going to sell as I didn't want this. They sent an email saying that they had sent the money and it was too late. The paypal confirmation email came through - I replied to this saying I didn't want the transaction to procede - they replied it was too late and that the money will sit in the database while they wait for me to send the moneygram to the mover. I am confused - and panicking! I don't know what to do! Do they have my paypal details now? Is it genuine and my mind is just playing tricks? Have they sent me nearly £500? Do I contact paypal directly e.g. telephone them? please help/advice
