The Security Key has to be one of the most frustrating things PayPal has ever introduced. Instead of using a common method like Google, Microsoft, LastPass, DropBox, and others use, wherein I can simply scan a QR code with my phone to authorize my Google Authenticator app to generate codes, I have to download a third-party app by Symantec that generates codes and DOESN'T WORK WITH THE PAYPAL APP. Instead, I have to wait for an SMS message to show up on my phone. Additionally, when I sign in on the website, I now have to enter my userID and password TWICE before I get to the page to request the SMS! If two factor authentication is troublesome or annoying to use, THEN PEOPLE WON'T USE IT. I should be able to authenticate with my fingerprint on my iPhone, or with an authenticator app code. If you want to keep using SMS, then the SMS code should be sent AUTOMATICALLY as soon as I sign in! Get with it, PayPal!
