I have followed the directives given here in two different and older topics that seemed to pertain to my issue ... PayPal Smart Connect still shows in my PayPal Wallet as a payment option. Until it is removed, I cannot link my Buyer Credit account, nor set the default payment method. PM 5/28 ... mistakenly accepted the PayPal Smart Connect that I thought maybe the name changed from PayPal Buyer Credit. AM 5/29 ... I called the Credit Service Center at 1-866-571-3012 to CLOSE the account. The rep had to read miscellaneous disclosures to me and hear my acceptance that I still wanted to close the account. She then CLOSED the account. Midday on 5/29 .... It is still linked to my PayPal Wallet ... so I sent PayPal customer service a request to change my account and REMOVE the CLOSED/ INVALID PayPal Smart Connect from my account. ... I received an automated response on how to change my password or email address. I replied to that email and again requested the PayPal Smart Connect be removed from my PayPal Wallet. It is a closed account. So after following directives given by PayPal_Frank (392644) and PayPal_Adrian (489740) ... I'm at a loss ... Please help! Do I need to close my PayPal account all together and then re-open it? That makes no sense, but I don't see any other options. Thanks in advance for your time.
