My mother's birthday is coming up next week, and I decided to get her some shoes for his birthday. I ordered a pair of shoes using PayPal's "Pay after Delivery" service from an eBay seller who accepts 14-day returns, which were just shipped out to USPS and are on their way to me now. However, I just overheard her talking about a pair of shoes that she's really wanted for a long time, and I'd really like to get those for her instead. My question is, if I do return the shoes and the seller receives them before my debit card is charged, will the transaction be completely canceled and my card never charged for that transaction at all? Or will it charge my card and then begin the refund process? I've only got enough money in my debit to cover one of the shoes and I really need them by next week so I don't really have the time to wait to wait for the whole refund process over the 14 days.
