...on ebay. (I know, stupid mistake is stupid.) It was an "Ingram Micro" Windows 7 ultimate counterfeit. (Doubly stupid that I didn't ask to see the label before buying.) I tried contacting the seller to ask for a refund, but they never answered, so I opened up a "item not as described" case on ebay's site and requested a return/refund. I filled out a report online on Microsoft's Counterfeit Report Submissions, and it requires me to send the dubious item in question to Microsoft's PID center. I'm cool with that, but there's one caveat: to get refunded, ebay requires that I send the item back to the seller. I already messaged/called ebay about the thing being counterfeit, but they still just told me to send it back to get a refund. I've already decided against that. The seller already lied in the item description that the software was genuine, so I certainly don't trust them to not *#$% me over returning it to a possibly fake/wrong address. I haven't closed my case yet, and today is the last day to ship it back. So, questions: Can I ask Paypal to help me out here, or can I not get any help through this site because I already went through ebay to try and settle this? or Should I go ahead and send this piece of junk to the PID center and cut my losses and go cry softly into a pillow?
