I received an offer from paypal credit for a $50 discount after purchasing a minimum of $300. The offer links to epl.paypal and uses the coupon code "paypalperks" however when attempting to checkout on Ebay thru paypal credit, even tho I had over $300 in purchases, the checkout would then drop some of my purchases to keep the total at just over $300, but the actual products without taxes, shipping and discounts were now below the $300 minimum. This happened repeatedly. and had I not noticed I would have wound up purchasing $300 in items with NO DISCOUNT. the Ebay page of the paypal offer https://pages.ebay.com/promo/2020/0401/a4jr578wiwqwi32f.html?_trkparms=%26clkid%3D1405507355638288812 the paypay credit epl link scam...paypal changed this so it will no longer link https://epl.paypal-communication.com/T/v[Removed. Phone #s not permitted]?__dU__=v0G4RBKTXg2GtDSXU69hUjn5RqR7EEyYkx I attempted to use this coupon multiple times on multiple platforms. Every time I went to checkout, paypal dropped a number of my items to make the coupon no longer valid. Had I continued with a purchase without noticing their dropping my items, I would have wasted the purchase without receiving credit for the coupon. Is this being done intentionally? Is it their new way to trick us into spending $300 and then scamming us out of the offered $50 coupon? Every time I managed to checkout with over $300 in items, their checkout system then dropped my items to below $300 but with tax and shipping they were curiously over $300. Making me nearly not notice that they were scamming me out of the offered $50 discount. I am reporting this to you paypal as well as ebay as a scam. I noticed it is good only for one day (April Fools Day of course) and ends at 6 PM Pacific time. I have removed my items and will not play these games. Thank you for your attention to this obvious scamming of Paypal credit and Ebay customers. chazmo13 Paypal and Ebay client for many years. 😞
