I AGREE. I strongly dislike the "modern": trend toward dumbed-down interfaces, where most options are hidden or require a gesture to reveal. If you are accessing from a tablet, OK, but from a desktop I don't want to poke everywhere to find the options I need. The separation and dislike of "users" by the "it pros" is frustrating for somebody with half a brain. The log in page is horrible, I don't want fancy ads or cute animations, just give me a login page and bring me to a account page which does not require multiple clicks and drilling down to find something. I am already a customer, I do not need to be sold on a brand and please stop promoting your brand at the expense of usability. If you want to offer the tablet UI, fine, but a customer should be able to choose on the login page. I changed my email a month ago, it shows on my paypal account however I received a letter from the pay pal extras mastercard bank stating they were unable to deliver a statement. I took five minutes on the "new": interface to find those details related to my credit card but gave up. I am IT capable, unless you spend all of your time on just a few apps the trend toward hiding these options must stop. The help page stating how to do this bears no similarity to navigating to same using the paypal web UI. Sorry for my rant. Somebody please listen to your power users.
