Before I get Paypal employees to so the standard 'cut and paste' answers from their script, I stress, I HAVE read many previous forum posts, moderators replies and a number of help screens on this subject. Of course, we have to accept to a certain amount that we dont know all the intrcacies of payments going back and forward, but one thing I find difficult to explain is the following. When a temporary hold has been released, implying to me that Paypal, in their words, have got the funds back from a refund even believing the days they say are required, why they sill dont appear in my paypal balance, or in my case, in my bank account where it left over a week earlier ! Surely that shoudl then be ransferred instamtly ? I dont accept the argument then that Paypla send mney by whatever method that takes 3/5 or whatever days. Let me say why, and this I believe points to double standards, and therefore prove its actually about jeeping teh customer's money longer...when I want to link my bank account to my paypal account, paypal send £0.01 to my account.. (INSTANTLY) whilst I am still linking it, fo rme to get a refence sent with it, to enter it and therefore prove it my account. So obviously they deal with sending funds, instantly, the automatic process is in place, they simply choose not to use that method for returning funds, only when they want access to another bank account, which of coure is in their interest to do so This is the view of a customer facilitating the trade and as such I am constantly left with the opinion that Paypal ethics are 'we are big, and we dont mind to abuse the small people' I woudl be very interested to know, and we cna guess at the answer here, how the peopel receiving the money feel. Whether they too suffer from Paypal having the money for an unacceptable time and therefore both sides of the transaction mean that Paypal use and abuse their access to the money. So my question is a simple one.. Why. when Paypal use automated system to transfer money INSTANTLY to link a bank account, do they chose not to use that automated system to return refunds.
