6 weeks ago I sold a dress on eBay. £28. 4 weeks ago i get notice of a chargeback. The item was paid for with stolen credit card details. i immediately check if i'd made a mistake. eBay delivery address matched Paypal delivery address, check. Paypal 'confirmed' this address, check. The tracking information proved this item had been delivered to the address provided, check. I send tracking number to Paypal, Plus screen shot that addresses matched up and that the address was verified. 2 weeks later I lose my case, £28 is removed from my account plus a £14 'fee'... i feel sick. The only person here who was NOT culpable for the crime, but I'm the one without a dress, without the money paid for the dress and then 'fined' by paypal, for basically trusting paypal. The owner of the credit card is at fault for not looking after their info, the credit card company is at fault, paypal is at fault and the ID theif is at fault.... but the seller who had no involvelment foots the bill?!! Heartbroken is not the word!!!!!!!!
