I had been dreading phoning PayPal. I had visions of going around in circles for hours and getting nowhere, so I put it off for a while. Today I finally did it, and wow, I was impressed. We are quick to criticise PayPal about things we don't like, so I have to give them credit where credit is due. It was very easy and quick to get through to a very articulate, helpful and pleasant lady with an Irish accent but very easy to understand. She explained that the only limit on my account was the £1,900 receiving limit. Since I hadn't actually exceeded this limit yet, reviewing the documents to lift it can take up to 30 days. However, if I had exceeded the limit, the review would have taken place within 24 hours. She said she would review the documents immediately after the call, and she did. Within 30 minutes of my call, my receiving limit was lifted. Ok, this could have been made clearer on my account. But I can't fault PayPal's telephone customer service. 10 out of 10. For anyone in PayPal who reads this, well done and thank you.
