For everyones info, here is the conclusion from PP on this mess.
I first spoke to Abdul (edited) and told him the whole story. After about 20 minutes with him, he transfers me to a "financial specialist" at PP. Stacy tells me that UPS does NOT take the money right away when we pay for and print the UPS label, that they WAIT UNTIL THE ITEM IS DELIVERED! STUPID!!!!!
But,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,PP policy is that if the money goes "unclaimed" by UPS for 4 days, on the 5th day, the transaction "expires" and the deduction of the UPS fees just goes away and your balance goes up without ONE word on your summary page. STUPID AGAIN!
So, I was originally charged $37.73 for UPS shipping on Jan 2, but UPS did not deliver until Jan 7 so PP "expired" the amount and let it run until Jan 11 when PP, un-known to me, took out $32.02?????????????? for UPS shipping on the now 12 day old transaction. UPS finally got around to "charging" MY account through PP. REAL STUPID!!!!! (but I did MAKE $5.71 on the deal! LOL) don't know how/why but I can buy a McGrissles burger and fries today, or maybe a couple of Donkey burritos at Taco Bell. Ummmm, yummy!
Ok, This is stupid and renders the "summary" page a total JOKE that no one except a PP I.T. person with NO accounting experience can kinda sorta figure out, providing they are on their meds!
1. I will NEVER EVER IN MY LIFE offer UPS to any of my buyers. USPS is at least on the ball in grabbing their money AND they are almost ALWAYS cheaper than UPS even on heavy stuff! UPS actually backs a semi into our local PO parking lot and unloads about half the trailer for the USPS drivers to deliver! Pathetic! But at least it gets here. And when asked, the PO lady said that the PO gets to ship all their mail for FREE on UPS planes in exchange for then delivering the UPS boxes! LOL So, the PO got to fire ALL flight people and sell off their entire fleet of jets and get a freeby from UPS? Cool! And they keep raising the price of stamps? ROFLMAO!!!! Really!
2. And now I get to call back and figure out my first "e-check" and why the buyer is NOT required to tell us that it will be at least a week before we get paid. This sucks too! But that will change in my future listings to something like "if paying with a PP e-check, DO NOT BID, or if you do try, i'll cancel the transaction and offer to the next highest bidder. I'll take a neg if I have to because it's not fair to penalize the SELLER because the buyer does not have backup funding! Back up funding should be MANDATORY for bidders. Period.
Ok, rant over, time to call UPS and then PP on the e-check. So much for my serine morning.
