We are a nonprofit. We have an annual fundraiser in May of each year where people register on our website and pay a registration fee through PayPal. We use JotForms to run the form on our website and it is connected to PayPal. Last year, we fired an employee after the May event, who helped to run this fundraiser. Before we fired her, she was able to get into our JotForms account and change the PayPal username for all registration fees to her own PayPal account. We had no knowledge that she had done this until now. Since December, registrations for the May 2020 event have been open and we have received 20 registrations so far. The money from these 20 registrations has gone into the ex employee's personal PayPal account. She has refunded a few of them but not all. We are not sure what we can legally do or how to get these funds back from her. Thoughts?
