Echoing the previous commenters with my story, I have a third-party creditcard processor which I can use, but PayPal is actually cheaper because I get charged a fee to key in a card from this other credit-card processor. (For local stuff, I use that other processor since swiping is cheaper.) That other processor has an option for the customer to include a tip. While I can negotiate a fee with my customers, all I can do regarding a tip on PayPal is say something like this: "....but if you feel that I have done a fantastic job for you, feel free to include a tip on top of that." Furthermore, much of my business is conducted with clients who are not local, so PayPal is an obvious choice for me as a business-owner. There is no way for people to add tips on to the invoice I create for them, so I guess I am left with not creating invoices for the services I perform, and hoping that people will pay my PayPal account directly, if at all. I feel like I lose some degree of business protection by not filling out an invoice to request payment if one of my clients should fail to pay me. Does PayPal plan to add this feature? It seems like a highly requested feature to add based upon what I am reading in the forums.
