I bought something on eBay (a DVD for $39.99, no tax) and I wanted to use a $20 "Thanks for Listing" coupon given to me by eBay as well as eBay Bucks ($2.39). Thank would bring my total to $17.60. My mistake happened when I didn't read the description carefully enough to notice that the seller had "troubles" with their PayPal account and would instead email me an invoice to pay as opposed to paying through eBay checkout. So I paid with eBay checkout because that's what I always do. Then I received an email telling me that I had to cancel that payment and send payment through the invoice attached. I canceled that payment and for some reason that I don't remember, tried again to pay through eBay checkout with my discounts. That didn't work. Then I tried through the invoice. But I figured out that I couldn't use my discounts. I contacted the seller about this and she said I should keep my coupons and she would give me a $5 partial refund and I'd still get the item. So I canceled all the previous payments and the coupons and Bucks got refunded to me. The problem is that I ended up being charged twice for $17.60. The status is shown as "Removed". The $5 refund is also shown as "Removed". My bank account was charged for both $17.50 payments but not the $5 refund. I canceled both of the $17.50 payments so am I going to get refunded that? If not, I'm out about $35.
