Hi, My understanding is that in order to be eligible for Paypal Seller Protection on eBay transactions above $250 you must include "Signature Confirmation" when shipping via USPS to a Confirmned Paypal Address. This signature confirmation must be viewable online. There are several flavors of what could be considered "signature confirmation" from USPS: -Signature Confirmation -Restricted Delivery -Adult Signature -Restricted Adult Signature Will Paypal for the purposes of Seller Protection accept plain old vanilla USPS Signature Confirmation in the case of a dispute? I never see the the other options mentioned in all the searches I've done on forums, etc. My understanding is that with Signature Confirmation anyone at that address could sign for a item, lets say the buyers wife/husband or a roommate etc (is this correct?). Does Paypal require the actual buyers signature or will it accept anyone at the address signing for the package? Restricted Delivery on the other hand would require the buyer to sign for it, yet I never see mention of this as a specific requirement. In fact in reading Paypal's own info on this topic - I believe they say they need proof of the recipient signing for it. But that could be understood a couple of ways. Any recipient at the address or the specific, intended recipient. Anyone have first hand experience in dealing with a dispute where regular USPS Signature Confirmation was used but signed for at the address by someone other than the buyer? Thanks PS. My understanding is that plain vanilla "Signature Confirmation" signing/delivery is available online , the others I can find no reference to whether they are or are not. Anybody know, just curious for future reference.
