I think if you pursue this case by sending as much information, tracking number, etc., to Paypal, they will cover you for the fraud. This just happened to me. The seller sold an Apple computer to someone who hacked into my Paypal account. They sent it to my name at an address hundreds of miles from where I live (and to a place I'd be afraid to walk around!). They used 60 dollars from my account and stole the balance (850 dollars) from my credit card account. I too cyberstalked the buyer. Since there was a tracking number I could even see the address and name. Ebay even admitted the buyer committed fraud, but all they did was suspend him. Anyway, I gave all the information to Ebay and Paypal hoping the bad guys would be caught. They just closed the case from their end because the seller could provide a tracking number and a signed receipt even though it wasn't my address ans I didn't sign it. I contacted the seller from his email on Ebay and he told me that Paypal had covered him. I then knew I had to report the fraud to my card company because they were the ony ones who could help me at the point when it was no longer merely a "dispute." That's why I think you should not give up. You won't be able to catch the bad guys - it seems more and more are able to hack accounts and servers these days, but you absolutely should keep trying to get your money. Mine is in the hands of my card company, and I'm hoping that I can get it back. Good luck! PS when you complete the online webform, just type the gist of your situation. You will get a reply that is the standard automated reponse. Reply to that one with all the pertinent information and you will get a more helpful response.
