I bought an item off ebay on the 22nd, and a couple of days later I got an email saying ebay had removed the listing due to security issues. I tried contacting the seller to figure out what was going on but got no reply, apparently neither did anyone else if the feedback is anything to go by, the negatives grow daily on the seller's page. I placed a dispute to try and get my money back and immediately paypal said something about the seller not responding and it automatically escalated it into a claim, which I'd never seen before. Yesterday the seller responded with a tracking number (on 17track.net) and once I checked it I realized that not only was it shipped on the 19th (3 days before I placed my order, guy must be psychic) but it had also just been delivered to ANOTHER CITY in my country. I went back to the resolution center to try and state this but this is all I can do apparently: The seller has responded to our request for tracking information. We haven’t confirmed the tracking information yet but wanted to share it with you. 17track.net tracking # TRACKINGNUMBER (there was an actual number) What happens next Please review the information and let us know how you would like to proceed. If you've resolved this problem, you can cancel this claim at any time. If you received the item but it's not as described by the seller, you can change the reason for your claim. I tried messaging paypal through the contact us page, but all I got was an automated email to which I have just responded, again, explaining it's NOT my tracking number and that this guy is scamming a bunch of other people too. Now I'm waiting. I'm afraid paypal will take their side because the tracking info says it has been delivered but it was to a different city and sent before I ever placed my order like I said. Is there anything I can do?
