I don't even know what to say... I sold a $2,300 machine on ebay. I have been selling since the 90's any way I video tape the machines performance and my packaging of the machine before it ships. I paid for insurance and signature delivery. The buyer calls me 7 days after she received the machine asking me to walk her through how to use it. I spent 2 hours with her on the phone. The machine was working fine. 2 weeks later I get a text message that she is sending it back to me because it doesn't work. And oh ya, she used the beauty products and she is shipping the used products back to me. I emailed her, texted her, let her messages, nothing. I then get the charge back notice from paypal. So they freeze my funds. I send them 15 pages of correspondence between me and my buyer. I make sure to include the fact that I never received the machine, and she won't give me a tracking number. A week later, I get an email that the case is closed! She won! WTF!! I don't even have the merchandise! So now I am out $2,300 and the machine! Pulse all of the fees associated with the ebay sale and paypal received payment. It is about $5,000 total! I called paypal and they said that they are very sorry but when it is a "chargeback" with the credit card company their hands are tied and they can't do anything for me! I am sick over this, it is way wrong! Has this happened to anyone else? Any advice?
