Good morning all. I wonder if anyone could assist. I bought an item on eBay and as per usual paid immediately via PayPal. However, it would appear that the PayPal address used by the seller was unregistered and out-of-date after I got a message through eBay that the payment was waiting to be approved by the seller. After seeing this, I had cancelled the payment and check the details once more and repaid but still got the same message. I had then asked the seller to make sure that the his details were correct. He had realised that his email on his PayPal was indeed incorrect and subsequently had sent me a refreshed invoice with the correct details. I paid and all well and good. But, it would appear, despite cancelling the previous two attempts, PayPal have taken the funds from my account but have not refunded. Currently, the status on them as of 1131 on 2nd July is “26th June – Temporary Hold – Placed (PayPal has placed a temporary hold while we're reviewing it. We'll contact you shortly with further information) Can anyone advise how long will take it to get a refund? Usually, I see a lag of 2-3 days between making a payment on PayPal and a debit taken from my bank, so I would have thought that if I had cancelled it within minutes of making it, PayPal should have not taken the funds. But perhaps I am wrong... Any information and advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
