A few weeks back I was contacted by someone wanting to buy an item I had for sell. We e mailed back and forth a few times and agreed on a cost. Turns out I was about to become a victim of someone else's stupidity. After mailing said item and payment being received, I was told that the charges were being disputed by the buyers credit card company. Turns out the "buyer" was a criminal who had gotten ahold of this persons paypal account and email. This situation went to paypals legal team. The legal team then sent the final decision to be made by the credit card company. I am now told that I am to pay back the money I was given for the sale. So now I am out the money from the sale, the product itself, and the cost of shipping the item! Has this happened to anyone else or does anyone have some tips? The part that just drives me nuts is that the real person was dumb enough to make their paypal password the same as their e-mail account. So for this I am to blame?! I understand that they shouldn't have to pay for their dumb mistake but why do I have to pay for their mistake?
