Paid for item via paypal after communicating on ebay to seller a few times about details and my final offer. Ebay and paypal send me tracking info for USPS carrier and a tracking #. Estimated (I know what it means) delivery date of 12/31/12. It's not delivered 12/31 so I decide to track it using the provided ebay and paypal links. USPS shows no progress at all from either link. I contact seller who says probably slow due to holiday and weather (part supposedly in Flagstaff, AZ)and he states "Why are you so worried? " and provides a FEDEX link that has my same tracking number and a estimated delivery date of 1.4.12. I ask why does paypal and ebay both show USPS carrier and now he shows me a fedex link. He gives me big attitude stating he is a well established seller that has high feedback and is a reputable establishment. He again asks why I am so paranoid but does not answer or address the USPS/FedEx question. I reply that I do not him or his business and I have a legitimate question and that high feedback does not provide a secret cloak of immunity or give him a halo. His reply is I gave the tracking link below and nothing else. I check again tonight and see the tracking status. One place on ebay shows a fedex shipper and my purchase status screen on ebay still shows USPS carrier. Both have same number. Paypal shows order staus USPS carrier , same track # and now that status is cancelled. Is this acceptable? Should I get some sort of explaination of the USPS/FedEx mixup or does this sound like someone trying to pull something? If you have high feedback then I expect things to go extra smooth or at least not get attitude and some sort "That's odd , let me look into it" reply instead of attitude. What feedback would you leave?
