I run a very small business, very little turn over, selling DVDs I have made about history of where I live. I have been selling the DVDs, via my website and using Paypal for well over 10 years. About 8 years ago, the company went from Limited to Sole Trader. I changed a lot of my details, including Paypal to let them know I was now a sole trader. Today, I got a message saying 'Companies house says my company isn't limited and doesn't exist'. I had just had some payments through for DVDs, about £80, which I now have no access too! I know it's a small amount of money, but being self employed, it's a lot! I called Paypal, to be told, the money will be on hold for 180 days, and I may not get it back at all! The best solution, from the operator, was to file a dispute, which I did...but most likely to open a new business account. I know that will mean having to then wait for my money each time! The account has been in excellent standing since day one, I've never even had a dispute or claim from anyone...but now, my account is null and void, they have my money and I cannot accept Paypal through my website any more! If anyone can help or offer some advice. Thank you.
