I did send an email to Paypal help but got a generic reply and by phone, an automated response, which I couldn't work with, so i'm trying here. Over a week ago a purchaser bought an item. I sent an invoice, noting the address in UK and applying 1st class postage. Later on the item was paid for, minus postage,to be mailed to a PO Box address in Australia. I contacted purchaser, at a different address than the payment came from, who appeared not to communicate very well in English, and told her that unfortunately postage had not been included and i would send a paypal request. I sent one to the 1st address, then to the second. The purchaser responded that she could not get anywhere with paypal and could not tell me whether she had had a request. Two days ago she purchased another item and paid for it without invoicing, again from a different email address. I was ready to post this item, but wanted to sort out the earlier problem, giving combined postage discount if possible. She still could not respond to the Paypal request and her explanation was difficult to follow. Not that long after she purchased a third item, but needed to be invoiced, so I did this quickly and added on the missing p&p with and explanation in my message and cancelling requests. she said her idea was that she could pay as I guessed. I have had no response or payment. I told her I had contacted paypal to see if there was a problem. I also contacted eBay and they confirmed that if the purchaser turned out not to be the owner of the Paypal account, and the real owner asks for a reversal as he had not purchased any items, I would be the loser as I would have posted items and Paypal would return the lost money. There is NO Seller protection - am I right? I have tried to contact the person at the original address but have had no response. It is a high street jewellers. Am I right to be suspicious? Any advice?? I'm thinking of refunding the first payment.
