On June 26th, 2012 PayPal made an unauthorized payment of $54.34 to a PayPal merchant. My credit card company challenged this and the merchant refunded the money on July 17th, 2012. As of August 11th, 2012 my credit card company reports that they are awaiting a refund from PayPal---and Paypal says that I should check with my credit card company to see if PayPal refunded the unauthorized payment. I made a purchase of a single item and authorized one payment. PayPal sent two payments of the same amount. PayPal in response to my e-mails kept giving me the same run-around. Has anyone reported PayPal to the feral trade commission and the California Consumer Protection division. Just wondering since they do not answer simple yes-no questions concerning their delay to correct theri mistake. Thanks for any ideas.
