BILL ME LATER IS SUCH A GIGANTIC JOKE OF A COMPANY. Their business practices make Madoff giggle. Seriously though, $25 late fees are RIDICULOUS for the first overdue payment (ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU DO NOT NOTIFY YOUR CUSTOMERS THAT THEY HAVE A BALANCE - BILL ME LATER HAS A DUTY TO GIVE THE CUSTOMERS ADVANCE NOTICE AND A DUTY TO CONFIRM THAT THEIR CUSTOMERS HAVE INDEED RECEIVED THE NOTICE) - ontop of this, I got an additional $35 late fee charge for not paying the first $25 late fee charge. Oh and I didn't even know I was paying for my puchases through billmelater!! My paypal account ALWAYS defaults to my bank account or my credit card - NEVER TO BILL ME LATER - and recently it's started to default to bill me later automatically! Obviously paypal/ebay is capitalizing on our mistakes - we have not been checking to make sure what the funding source is and they know it so they're exploiting our errors. Good business practices, way to go ebay! ALSO when we try to pay off the stupid balance so that we never have to deal with this joke of a company again, SOMEHOW WE CAN'T! And guess what, your customer services reps are just ill-equipped as the rest of this "service"! They ask me to verify all the information on my profile so that they can discuss my profile....but then every question I ask is met with a "oh we can't discuss that over the phone because its sensitive information." Ok...then what the f are you supposed to discuss with me? They can't tell me my balance, what it balance is for OR ANYTHING - the only thing we are offered is an option to PAY THE BILL OVER THE PHONE. Seriously? Isn't that why services like paypal and billmelater were created - to prevent fraudulent access to your accounts (which is facilitated by giving cc info over the phone)? Sorry to steal your thread, but I've seriously had it with eBay/paypal/billmelater. I will no longer support their services and I will make dang sure that others in the internet community know of their shady business practices. Marketing 101 - for every one p/o'd customer, you lose ten potential customers. Word of mouth really hurts companies that don't treat their customers correctly.
