Hello there comunity! This is my first post so bare with me.
To make story short a buyer filed a claim for item not received agains me and paypal favored the buyer, even though I sent the item through registered mail and provided tracking number. Did I appeal paypals decition? YES!!!! Did it favor me? NO!
So in return I get nothing and a negative on my account, the scammer gets his item and his money back! NIce Paypal, very nice!!!
So here is the story....I sold an "iCushion" that is a cuchion that looks like that apple gadget, my buyer was from Italy, he paid right away. Here is what happens in chronological order...
Buyer wins aution and pays same day, Jan, 15 2011
Order procesesed - I shipped to him on Jan 16, 2011
Buyer files a dispute on paypal Jan 29, 2011 ------Notice the short time and the buyer never contacted me prior to making the dispute! he just whent right ahead, opened the dispute saying these exact words "29/01/2011 00:43 GMT+01:00 - Buyer: I haven't receive the item yet. I want back my money!" Yes I copied and paste! Anyways here is the case info...

The buyer cancelled this case and our investigation is now complete.

29/01/2011 10:16 GMT+01:00 - Seller: I have sold an Item over eBay and this buyer from Italy has opened a dispute without first contacting me asking about his shipment. his tracking number is RR920462275CN, it was sent on Jan16, 2011 (he paid me on the 15th) and posted on Jan 19th according to the China Airmail tracking system. I asked my client nicely to wait a little longer since items going to Italy take very long time, Italian customs are very strict and as your understanding I cannot control the mail system, weather or customs for that matter, once the item leaves the warehouse its on its own. The items should be arriving at Italy by now, I have send other items to Italy and arrived successfully, late but they did arrive. My buyer just has to wait a little longer.
29/01/2011 10:08 GMT+01:00 - Seller: Please wait a little longer, you are located in Italy and you know best that Italian customs are very strict, You can alternatively contact your local post office and provide them with the TRACKING number I gave you, also you can call your customs office at any time. The item has reached Italy by now. I would have appreciated if you would of contacted me first before opening a dispute as your item is in Italy just getting there late because of your customs, weather problems etc...

Here are a free snapshots I took for delivery proof purposes...did I send these to paypal? YES! I have also sonde a little google research for this users email and what I get????? His FaceBook profile!!! And what I see??? my beloved customer with the item I sold to him!!!! What a surprise!!!! **Message editied to remove personal information**
So what are we to do in cases like these???????????????????? Why does paypal favor someone who has falsele alleged that they never revceived the item????
I feel unprotected now, and cant really trust paypal anymore.... 😞
