Hoping a PayPal business customer can advise, because PayPal customer support are idiots. We've had a business account now for ages, yet we've still got a yearly receiving limit of £1900 on the account. I've done all the limit-lifting steps, but one step always shows as outstanding / in progress - "Provide company information" - and says that it wants our business registration number. For some reason you can't edit your account details to enter a business number - it's the one field where you don't get the option. I also wasn't given the option when I signed up, even though it was for a business account. (Some common sense please PayPal on your forms) If I click on the link I'm asked to upload a couple of documents, including the option for passport scan, proof of address (credit card bill) etc. I've done all that but 2 weeks later it's still not lifted the limit. A week ago I called PayPal again and was asked to this time upload a picture of the company letterhead, showing the business number. Done that, no joy. So today I called yet again, had a difficult convo with a call centre pleb with a thick indian accent, and was told to call back in 2 hours because the system was updating. Does ANYONE know an easier way to get a business number entered, limits lifted, or some phone number to PayPal in the UK where I can talk to someone competent?
