I recently installed OS X 10.6.8 on a desktop mac, along with Safari 5.1. Prior to that I was using a portable mac with OS X 10.5.6 and safari 3 (last version). Multi-order shipping works fine on the portable. On the desktop, I'm having many problems which appear to be java related. Symptoms are menus that do not contain the items they should, shipping label edit dialogs that do not contain the data for the label, Cancel buttons that do not dismiss the edit dialog, etc. The most annoying problem (and what makes me suspect this is java related) is when I see the Log Off (right side of the multi-order shipping window) appear multiple times. When I see this, is is usually two repitiions, but I have seen 3 repeats of Log Off. When this happens, the environment is so poluted, I have to manually dismiss the multi-order shipping window, flush the cache, delete all cookies, quit safai 5.1, and then logout the OS X user. Whatever is causing this to occur, it is persistant until I log out the OS X user. This makes me suspect corruption in the JVM space. I have also (rarely) seen the PayPal Multi Order shipping logo visibly corrupted. If I switch back to my laptop (OS X 10.5.6, Safari 3.x) I see none of these problems. Does anyone have any ideas how to get the desktop (using OS X 10.6.8, Safari 5.1) to do multi-order shipping without all these issues ? TIA
