They did actually send an item purchased via Facebook ad,, but it was not what was purchased! Cheap plastic child's inflatable pool toy, instead of what they called a "high end Floating platform." Not at all even remotely similar to what was pictured in their advertisement, which included a video of an actual high end floating platform. Bait, and switch! How do you return something 14 days from date of purchase, when it takes more than twenty days to arrive?

This is exactly what has happened to me! Except I found the email that you mentioned to be suspicious enough to forwarded it to email@example.com and recieved a reply confirming that the email in question was indeed a phishing attempt. When I logged into my account I was confronted with the relentless "Request for Additional Information" and in the Resolution Center there is a request for an upload of a Photo ID, Proof of Address, and SSN. The options for the photo id are Driver's License Passport Military Identification Card Proof of address Utility Bill Provide proof of Social Security number I've never had a problem with my account before either. I finally made contact with someone at the Login, Click "Contact Us", Click "Call Us" number listed in the Paypal contact info.Login, Click "Contact Us", Click "Call Us" ( I believe the girl I was talking to was at a call center located in the philipines) I was told that the email previously identified as a phishing email was merely an unfortunate coincidence and that Paypal was indeed requesting this type of information. When I asked why was it being requested, she said that my bank might ask for this type of information when I first opened my account... To which I replied "but I didn't just open this account, I've had it problem free for years" I still haven't given the info, and still I'm not satisfied with their reasoning or type of info, espeacially after getting what they confirmed as a phishing attempt and then I'm asked for the exact type info from within my account. What is going on here? My bank wouldn't and has never asked me for this type of info. Without a clearly stated problem or issue I understand I don't want to upload photocopies of information I've been repeatedly told they would nevr ask for. I'm really at a loss here!
