I have never before had a problem contacting paypal by phone with questions or issues, today it was impossible to get anyone! Got my new paypal debit card in January, replacing my old one that would have expired in February, activated it, and everything worked fine. Today I go to the ATM and transaction declined, reason stated: "Card expired" Went and checked my paypal account, all information is correct and all correct information on my debit card is shown on the account. So I call the number on the card, go through the automated questions, and then instead of asking the ususal "what is the issue" who to transfer to, it just said immediately "transfering you now".........no hold music or advertisement, just silence. Tried another number, same results. Tried another number shown on the paypal account, again same results, tried even the number for advantage-members where you get a pin, AGAIN same results. So my question is this: Anyone know if there is a temporary glitch? Or is this a recent change to the system that I missed, where they want to make it impossible to conatct a live person like they do when one tries to contact ebay? Is this new (to me) forum here paypals way to eliminate customer service? Anyone have a number that has worked for them today? I did end up emailing them, but now am worried that this also ends up in a dead-end, supposed to wait 72 hours for an answer.... I do not want to wait that long for an answer when it concerns my funds or account! Thanks for any advice or solution anyone can offer me!
