So, when I checked into the situation, I found out, that my son sold an item on Facebook and then used my Paypal account, without my knowledge, to complete the transaction! But, the buyer filed a dispute with Facebook, claiming that the item was damaged in transit! So, my son filed a claim with the USPS for the damages. Then, my son just recently received a check in the mail, from the USPS for the damages. He then contacted the buyer and advised him, that he would forward the funds to him, from the check amount. But then, the buyer filed a dispute claim with Paypal, for the amount of the supposed damages! So now, Paypal is taking the damages amount out of my Paypal account, to refund the buyer! Is there anything that I can do, to prevent this buyer from getting a refund from my account and receiving a check from my son, for the damages? Because, I was unaware of this situation, until recently, when Paypal wanted to refund this buyer, with funds out of my account! No, there is nothing you can do, except make this a good learning experience for your son. Unless you mess it up and don't let your son pay for it, then you fail as a parent.
