Their agent via messages told me if I provided evidence that goods I received were counterfeit, I would not have to return them (illegal to do in the US); I have a screenshot of that. I got evidence today, called in, and the 'highest phone support agent' told me this was not true. He even told me that it was not illegal to send the counterfeit goods because they would be marked as a 'return'. He said Paypal terms delegate I am allowed to! LMAO. Since when does Paypal terms trump federal law? And he said the terms specify we have to return goods if the seller requires it, but when I asked him to tell me specifically where that was, he could/would not. He said his interpretation of the terms were the rules, even though he admitted they were 'general terms', he would rather argue in favor of the scam seller than the honest buyer. He even went on to say that because I opened 'SIGNIFICANTLY not described' that because I received goods, I didn't have a good case for a no return! Even though my case hits TWO points of the buyer protection LIE they have posted (wrong item & counterfeit item). Rather than use his authority to authorize a no return, he insisted that a return was required. He said I DO have a choice (to return= refund, not to return= no refund so HOW is that a choice??) and I could return an item for $75 just to get my $89 refund.
Avoid using Paypal. Their buyer protection is a huge lie, and they see absolutely nothing wrong with that.
