Pay Pal has awarded 2 of my buyers in the last few months, their money back. The first item arrived broken so the buyer claimed "not as described" with pay pal ,as a reason for the chargeback. The second buyer claimed "not as described" as a reason for item chargeback as well. In fact, both items were very much as described but one arrived broken and the other (a ring) and the buyer PRIED the stone from the setting and claimed she didn't like it, said it broke. (still not "item not as described" as a claim). I didn't know that if the buyer claims that "item not as described" that the claim automatically cannot be disputed or appealed. Once pay pal makes their decision (always for the buyer) nothing on GOD'S green earth can be done! I wont go into the horror stories of both fraudluant claims but both were awarded money back and I never received assistance from the first buyer to file my claim with UPS. I believe they now have the item in perfect condition (as it was described and sent) and they now have their $1200.00. The second claim will be awarded shortly to the buyer as soon as I check Pay Pal's little box. "item received". I have nowhere to enter my argument that the brooch was purposely scratched by the buyer and the stone from the ring was pried loose by the buyer. We have been selling on ebay since 1998 with two seperate accounts with a combined 100% positive feedback of over 5000. What is going on with the "fair trading"? Why are we as sellers treated unfairly? The buyers are learning how to work the system to their benifit and this opens too many doors for evil does. What can we do? Even wal-mart has their limits for accepting returns...
