I am strictly a small time seller and a small time buyer. I don't make much, usually just enough to pay my fees and buy a few necessities. If I don't sell, I cannot buy. International shipments will now be out of the question for me. I can't afford to pay shipping of $40.00 or more out of my pocket. Since a part of the payments made to me are for postage, this makes it impossible for me for me to sell internationally. I do not see myself offering anything other than Priority shipping in the future. I can't afford to be out postage for more than 2 or 3 days. This limits what I can sell because many of my buyers depend on media, first class, or parcel post. If other sellers have to do the same as above I will probably not be able to buy from them. I can't pay for Priority shipping very often. Having sellers resort to Priority ONLY will please the USPS to no end but will in the long run reduce eBays sales. Why would PayPal make such a stupid policy at such a bad economic time? With eBay already hemorrhaging money, trying every trick in the book and promotion they can think up to keep people buying and selling, this is like committing suicide. So in essence they have *#@+&%!! themselves while they are doing the same to me. I thought that I'd seen the worst of eBay and PayPal before but this is truly a new low. I guess they see this as a new way to make some more money on us. I really don't believe that they do not stand to benefit financially from this policy. I wonder how much interest they will make holding our money?! Isn't this a form of usury?
