I do not think Citi Bank, Chase, Wells Fargo or Bank of America, et. al. would dare to tell me who I can support financially. Would my bank tell me I could not donate to a political party or The Humane Society? What if the president of the bank did not think that the American Cancer Society had a viable research program and banned me from giving money; especially when it was with the hope of saving a family members life? The same applies to PayPal, an organization that wants to help me distribute my funds, apparently when it suits them. I presume since PayPal did not take $700 million to prop up their balance sheets, like the banks, they feel they can control their depositors’ actions. They are wrong, especially if they are part of this democracy. This is still a democracy no matter what the powers that be think. Oh, never mind, the banks are doing it too.
