I'm really confused and upset. (Assuming there's nothing I can do on my end to fix the problem)... On one site, I have a shopping cart that uses the Paypal API. When they check out they have two options: 1. Sign in to a Paypal Acct, or, 2. click on "Don't have a Paypal Acct? Pay by cc." etc. Thats fine... But I'm also on the board of a charitable organization, and we just setup a DONATE button. When they are redirected to paypal to complete payment, the choices are: 1. Sign in. 2. Sign up for Paypal Period. Why would this happen? I dont WANT this. This DRIVES AWAY customers. The worst part, is when I tested last night, it's NOT POSSIBLE TO COMPLETE A DONATION! If I sign up, and fill out the info, (including a related credit card number) It then says: "Thank you for signing up. Link a credit card to your new account to complete the transaction." and prompts me for a credit card. When I re-enter the credit card I already tried using in the first step, it says: "This credit card is already linked to your account. Please try again." From this page, there is NO OPTION to complete the transaction without starting over from the charity website and then signing in to my new Paypal account. This is absolutely REDICULOUS and I need to fix it ASAP. 😞
