I ordered an Apple Watch from a scammer – which I later found out goes by various names, including JessieShop, liana-good.online, wodeshop39.xyz, and a Chinese name, which I can't paste here because the system says these Chinese characters are "not permitted in this community." Hmm, if they're too obscene to be permitted in this community, perhaps PayPal shouldn't allow people who go by that name to open accounts.
PayPal closed my case "in the seller's favor as the seller provided a valid proof of delivery."
The scammer did no such thing. It would be quite impossible to provide proof of delivery of an Apple Watch, because no package whatsoever was delivered to my address.
Although I contacted the scammer many times, I was provided with nothing. No receipt; no order number; not even a fake tracking number.
I just called PayPal at <removed>. The robotic telephone system said no agents were available.
I can't believe that PayPal was duped into thinking this "proof of delivery" was "valid."
The PayPal web site doesn't provide an option for appealing their decision to close my claim.
What should I do next?
