When an item is sold/shipped it can be insured, so that the seller can receive compesation if it is lost or damaged. The buyer has no such insurance and since the shipping company is, in essence, working for the seller, the buyer has no recourse at all to receive damages... only the seller can do that, whihc is why it was my understanding that PayPal will have a damaged item returned to the seller for dispensation. In this case, this was just not done and I am left to swallow the whole loss with no effort from PayPal to make it right. They are completely in the wrong here and since my payment was made with PayPal funds (a mistake I won't make again) there is no card company to help me... just this worthless PayPal MasterCard...
