Hello, I recently had my first and middle names legally changed last year. While waiting for the petition to be approved, I was successful in changing my *verified* shipping address to my new name. I have since updated my legal name for health, auto, bank, and educational records.
Very recently I had the gender marker on my drivers license updated, and felt it was time to submit the documentation to paypal servers for the scanned court judgement and new id card. I did not receive any kind of verificstion that they evdn received the docs at all, znd attempts to contact customer support are futile.
Worse, I updated the number for my credit card and it seems my shipping address has reverted to my birth name. I do wish to use paypal online to purchase goods, but I really do not like being greeted with packages prominently displaying my old name, nor do I appreciate the fact sellers are forced to use it even if I entered my current name on their website.
My bank account and ssn are verified through paypal. Both of these databases have also been updated. I have no outstanding balances currently.
Since customer support appears to be non-existent, should I just close my 15 years old account and open a new one in my current legal name? My social security number, bank routing info, and primary email address have not changed, but if I can reopen a new account under my new name and reverify my bank and ssn, it seems like it would be quicker and less of a hassle than waiting indefinitely for someone to review my submitted documentation.
Can customer support representatives not work from home?
