Hi. I'm a new artist who just set up my commissions page and is trying to get some extra savings through selling commissions. I recently got a commission from a user and did the routine background check to see if their account (on instagram) is legitimate and it didn't raise any red flags. We went through the payment process but an issue arose where I got an email from "PayPal" saying I should upgrade and refund money to verify this upgrade to my account. Now I know 2 days later this was all too coincidental, and dumb on my part and I hate myself for it. However my so called scammer has yet to drop the ball on me and is still in communication with me, about this whole thing even going as far as "calming" me down when I called them out on my discovery of the PayPal email being a "Gmail.com instead of PayPal.com" I don't know what to do because I lost quite a bit and since last night have been numb to the pain in my heart because as a student this is a blow that can make or break me. I'm not expecting anything or much but is there anything to be done or is this all just a lost cause to an angry student.
