I was scammed on paypal and the central piece of the issue is that somehow a "did not receive item" case was opened and closed (which I did not do), however it was done in my name. I am being told that since a case was closed by me (even though I didn't actually close it) they cannot re-open the case. It is clear that the package was not mailed to my address or my name (Fedex tracking info) but they are unwilling to look at the case because their system states that it was closed by the buyer. I have been advised to contact my credit card and challenge the transaction which I have done but I am concerned that it will still be rejected. Does anyone else have experience with this scam? Any idea how to combat it? This is a little over $3500 so I was surprised they aren't willing to even look at it!
