I run a subscription website for teachers, and use a membership plugin called Easy Digital Downloads. Due to a potential security issue, I had to urgently upgrade to the most recent version of EDD a week or so ago. PayPal Standard is not included as part of the checkout options with the new version, so all new payments are now being processed either by Stripe, or PayPal (not PayPal Standard). Existing subscriptions that were made by PayPal, still use PayPal Standard. So far so good. As the renewals are starting to process, everything seems to be working fine, except for when a user cancels their subscription via our website, the message is NOT getting through to PayPal - this only affects PayPal Standard payments, not the newer ones that just use "PayPal". Therefore I am having to keep an eye on things, and manually go into PayPal and cancel the subscriptions in there, that the users have cancelled on the site - which as you can imagine is not a great long term solution. Easy Digital Downloads say they cannot recreate the issue at their end, so can be of no further help, and to contact PayPal. Does anyone know what this could be? The Api codes, web hooks, IPN etc are all set up correctly, this has been checked. Help!
