I have been trying to add money from my bank to my paypal account for half a week now. I keep getting the "We can't do that right now" error. I have called support and told them my problem. All my information is up to date and accurate including my email, my phone number, and my login credentials. At best, the response is "Well, security makes it so that we can't do anything about it." and at worst it's "Why do want to add money to your account? You don't need to! You must be money laundering!" with the latter usually coming from the supervisors. This is utterly nonsensical. First of all, I've had this account for years at this point. I have almost always added money to it and then payed out of my 'wallet' with said money. I do this because it leaves a paper trail I can use for my records and because it keeps me from overspending. In addition, if I wanted to do a direct transaction from my bank account, I would just my debit card and go around paypal altogether. So don't tell me what I already know! Second, why the hell don't the administrators in charge of the system have the ability to remove these blocks? Why are they at the whims of a 'system' that they themselves created? And why is this acceptable behavior?
