@kernowlass  All I've seen you post are reposted from PayPal's website, so I have a hard time believing you're not part of PayPal. True it says "esteemed advisor" not moderator on your nick, but you seem to do nothing but defend them. Your advice above and on other feeds are useless to those of us who have been stolen from. The website I purchased from was well done. It had none of the signs of being a fraud website. It had the phone numbers, return policy of Shark-Usa everything listed as it should be. Even the pay screen looked correct. It wasn't until I saw the charge come through for a payment to a "Keriser Tan," and not Shark Usa that I knew anything was wrong. I contacted PayPal in PLENTY of time to stop the fraud, but the rep didn't or couldn't do anything except reassure me it wouldn't be paid, and they would contact me. I was hit with the fake mailing label proving I received something, yet I did not. PayPal's terms encourage this fraud and make it easy for the criminals.  Have you been on the BBB website recently? PayPal had a 1.07 out of 5 star rating. I can't tell you who boosted them from a 1 as I scrolled down about 7 pages and saw nothing but 1's and gave up. And I am sure most of them are like me and would have given them a 0 if we could. That shows the scale of this massive rip off going on that PayPal is a part of. Yet you defend them and act like it is our fault for not "being careful." One can only imaging the number of Seniors trying to get by day by day that this has affected. How many people have gotten hurt? Of course, the criminals could careless, but how can the PayPal company allow this to happen? They either don't care, are complicit, or are very stupid in their policies. Until you wake up and see what's going on I suggest you take a break from your role as "esteemed advisor" and just help people in other areas where you can actually give advice. I cannot believe some law firm hasn't picked up on this yet and started a class action. I will be sure to put my name down on that. I am sure it is coming. ... View more

I agree with you Daylightmarch. It does seem like they are co-conspirators. It's almost like a money laundering scheme. They send our hard-earned money to the crooks for a fee.  There are probably kickbacks to PayPal employees also. They say all over their site about a mysterious "appeal" button that no seems to be able to find. A call to them is totally useless.  They just say don't worry and the rep even agreed with me that it was an obvious scam, yet I was denied and charged because they showed a stolen mailing label. They do nothing to help. They make the comment that there are risks that you should take care yet tout that they have protection guarantees. Guarantees my **bleep**. I filed complaints with the BBB and the Postal Inspectors office as mail fraud in this country is a Felony. I will complain and tell everyone I know to not use PayPal. They are for themselves and the crooks only. Not the consumer.  God forbid if the crook forgets to send them their cut. They find a horse head in their bed?  ... View more

This response is EXACTLY why we all should NEVER do ANY business with PayPal. "We give some protections " but can't check "everyone so use your own discretion of using the service." In other words, they admit it is not safe and you probably will get ripped off. DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE AT ALL. Youve been warned. ... View more

Your Help team is totally useless or on the take. The first guy I talked to told me not to worry. He said it was obviously a fraud as they claimed it was shipped in 2 days from China. He checked the web site, and it was gone. I had no way and was given no way to try to contact the seller for a claim as he took his scam website down and hid his tracks. YOUR rep said he verified this. The scammer said he had my signature of receipt from the US Mail. I TOLD you I NEVER signed for anything and besides they said it was delivered to the mailbox. If I had signed for it, it would have been delivered to my door. Another VERY obvious lie you ignored. All he had to show for it was a copy of a stolen mailing label with someone else's name on it that was from some other unrelated mail. It WAS NOT any sort of valid proof of anything ever being sent to me. You denied my claim and you gave no way to appeal anything like your fraudulent claims state. I keep hearing your stories about all you have to do is this or that BUT IT IS A LIE!!!! There is no way we are allowed to do anything you claim we can. You are perpetrating, aiding, and abetting criminal fraud. And the US Mail was used in the swindle. Using the US Mail to carry out a crime is a FELONY!!!!  I have reported you to the BBB, the Postal Inspectors office, Chase Security, Yelp and the like services I belong to so that i can warn other consumers to avoid you like the plague. Chase has my back or I would be seeing you in court though I am still considering and talking with a lawyer friend about a law suit for how the stress of all this has been causing me to be late for appointments, lose sleep, and is taking a toll on my health as I get NO HELP from your service. I'm a 65 year old who had heart attack and stroke a few years ago so lets add elder abuse on top. Just cut the crap with your lies and either change all of your policies to prevent theft or get out of the business all together and fold up shop.  ... View more

I also was given no way to appeal my case which was obvious fraud. They don't want to hear it as then they can't fraudulently pocket your money. They are a money laundering service. They give the money to the bad guys for a cut. ... View more

Yes, PayPal defrauded me too.  They are a scam of their own. I wouldn't be surprised to find out their own employees are benefitting from under the table cash payments or maybe they get bonuses on the more money they collect so they allow this to happen. I had 2 reps both tell me not to worry about it that the seller hasn't been paid and it was an obvious fraud, yet they denied my claim when they showed a stolen mailing label that was from another name entirely and had nothing to do with ANY purchase. I, like you, was given no recourse or anyway to respond. Any links were removed from the website. No way to contact the seller as the website was bogus and suddenly disappeared which was CONFIRMED by the first rep contacted. The rep even said that there was no way they could deliver a package in 3 days from China and not to worry they would not pay the charge. Yet they did. Contact the better business bureau, file complaints on Yelp, do all you can to shut PayPal down. They are nothing but a money laundering service for the criminals. I myself am looking into bringing PayPal to court and sue them for the amount and for all of the stress and discomfort they have caused this senior citizen. I have wasted more time and stressed about this so much over the last 3 months. I am 65 and had a stroke a couple of years ago yet I have to go through this stress and hard time all due to PayPal's poor service. Like I say, I would not be surprised to find out some one at PayPal is allowing this to happen after what I have seen them do (or shall I say not do) to prevent fraud. For me it was a hundred-dollar charge but allow that to happen to 100,000 people around the world then it becomes a ten-million-dollar swindle. Then PayPal company gets their cut and their employees get bonuses and perks to look the other way.  ... View more

They told me don't worry we have you protected but did absolutely nothing to protect me. They were notified in plenty of time but did nothing and did not stop the bogus charge.  They use stolen mailing labels to proove I got what I ordered. Almost like they are a money laundering business for the criminals. I am turning in a complaint to BBB and all ratings boards out there. Someone needs to stop this. Pay Pal is a criminal organization. ... View more
