Is there a faster/better way to contact Paypal Customer Service? My issue is very simple, but I need to go through hoops just to get help. Email support is no longer available. I need to stay up late to chat and sometimes the agents don't respond at once. I called the number on the contact page at 4AM PST, the office is still closed. Plus the IVR doesn't recognize the one time passcode. This has always been the case. 😪😩

I was not on my computer at that time when I received the text. Assuming that it was a "mistake" from someone who had a similar email as mine, they would have recognized that the number for the password reset isn't theirs: I logged in as soon as I got the text and changed my password. I guess someone was trying to access my account, which I realized only now. All is well since my account is secure. Thanks to all who responded. 🙂

It was a text, not an email. The message is: Paypal: Your security code is 123456. It expires in 10 minutes. Don't share this code with anyone. The last code I received was back in July 2021. Why did I receive this if I'm already using a 3rd party authenticator? How can it be possible when I disabled the text?

I received a security code via text a few minutes ago. This is unusual because I use 2 step verification. This prompted me to change my password. How can a text code be generated if I am using a different method for authentication? Aside from changing my password, what else can I do to secure my account?
