I accept payments in GPB, EURO and USD. I have 2 x Euro bank accounts registered and verified so I can withdraw €uros without incurring further PayPal charges. I am now trying to register and verify my GBP bank account so that I can withdraw GBP without having to pay unnecessary fees but there is a problem with the 2 x micropayments used for verification purposes. These small amounts are received as GBP but PayPal wants to know how much they are in Euros! I have raised this issue twice now but PayPal simply blames the GBP bank which, of course, is completely false as (1) the GBP bank had received the micropayments (2) the same GBP account was at one point my main PayPal account for many years (3) the same GBP bank is a registered PayPal payment method.
Paypal doesn't have a problem taking money out of my GBP bank account but it does have a problem putting MY money into that same account.
My first request for help in December was closed without comment or notification! When I asked another 'support agent' yesterday to escalate the problem to the technical team I was told that I would need to lodge a formal complaint and then sent me the following instructions:
To submit your complaint:
Go to Contact us.
Click Feedback and formal complaints.
From the 7 options, select the complaint type which best matches the scenario you'd like to address.
Click Email Us. (You may need to log in.)
Complete the webform with both your personal and complaint details.
Review the details and click Send email. Thank you for choosing PayPal.
There is no webform or option to send email! I feel that I am being deliberately sent around in circles. Does anyone know of a viable alternative to PayPal??? Many thanks in advance.
