Why doesn’t PayPal REALLY investigate? My 70 year old mother-in-law asked my husband to complete a purchase for her. Long story short she was buying a present for my nephews and got scammed. Within an hour of the purchase we contacted PayPal to file a dispute. They told us they would investigate and opened a claim. Two days later I get an email saying they contacted the seller who had shipped the product. PayPal “verified” this from the seller’s tracking number. Um the seller sent a tracking number for a package that was ordered a full 10 days before she ordered. Not to mention the package was delivered to California. We live in New Jersey. Um how could they even email us that???? Let alone ask if it was resolved! Did they think we picked it up ourselves across the country? This could have been resolved that day. Or within 24 hours. Or when the package was delivered 2,720 miles away. It was not delivered tot he address it was supposed to be shipped to. And they could have stopped other elderly grandparents from being scammed. Instead they DID NOTHING! Who else had this experience???
