Hello, This year I bought a couple of things using PayPal credit. The first was a laptop at the start of the year, and I was given a promotion of paying in 12. A few months after, I bought something else, and did so under a "no interest for 4 months" promo. I set up a direct debit to pay off both with the minimum payment, which I thought would continue paying off my laptop as usual and essentially pay the second purchase off in 4 months, split into 4. It didn't, and by the end of the 4 months (with a week remaining today), it paid off nothing from my second purchase and all of what I was paying went into my laptop. Annoying, as I read several times that payments will pay off the first promotion ending. Regardless, I was in a position a few days ago to pay the entire second purchase off in one, as in a weeks time I'll start accruing interest if I don't. I placed the payment and... The entire payment went towards my laptop. With 5 months remaining, whilst my second purchase has a week left. I've used a few BNPL schemes, and none are even close to as deliberately obscure and, in my opinion, consumer hostile, than PayPal's. How do I get out of this situation? I'm not really in a position to attempt to pay it off again, I need that payment rerouted to the purchase about to start accruing interest. Thanks.
